Bryan has a decade-plus of experience working for prominent Calgary organizations at the intersection of media, education and politics.
A storyteller at heart, Bryan started his career in daily news by working for the Calgary Herald in 2011 before moving to the Toronto Star’s commuter paper Metro News.
He moved back to his alma mater, Mount Royal University, to work as the institution's Senior Media Relations Officer. In 2017, he was promoted to work as an advisor to Mount Royal’s incoming Provost and Vice-President, Academic.
In 2021, After a tour in the private sector with Calgary-based Shaw Communications (now Rogers) as national Media Relations manager for Shaw’s consumer product division, Bryan returned to the education sector to work with senior leaders at the Calgary Board of Education.
Bryan’s contributions to the public conversation extend beyond his day job. In 2023, he served as the Deputy Campaign Manager for Nagwan Al-Guneid in her successful campaign for Calgary-Glenmore MLA. Since 2015, he has worked on progressive political campaigns at the local, provincial, and national level.
